GENEALOGY PAGES OF INTEREST - CLINT EASTWOOD

The following shortcuts provide the reader an opportunity to jump to specific sections, and bypass starting at generation #1 of the American Eastwood Family Tree - Richard & Elizabeth Eastwood who left England, barely over 20 years old, and sailed across the Atlantic Ocean (a voyage of over 18 weeks) for England's first colony in America, Jamestown, in 1642. If you wish to begin there, click:

and Maternal -  13 generations back to Gov. William Bradford, Officer on the Mayflower, and Governor of Plymouth Colony).

Note: A pedigree differentiates from a family tree in that it omits all the auxiliary family members, thus reducing the explosive growth of the list after just a few generations. A quick example of this mathematical phenomenon can be observed in this particular pedigree alone. Even without the listing of family members, I also, intentionally, did not pursue many maternal ancestral lines unless they were essential to the ultimate link to Gov. Bradford. However, if you notice, even with all these omissions, when you reach the eleventh generation  (the end of the Eastwood paternal pedigree in America), the list of maternal ancestors still numbers 15 ancestors.
I recommend that a first-time viewer employ a simplified method to scan the thirteen generations back to the Mayflower Ancestors. This is to avoid branching off to the countless branches of the maternal line. Later, you can return to explore all the details within the program.
To begin, click on Ancestors  below the Table of Contents. The top entry for the first eleven generations will be Clint's paternal (Eastwood) pedigree. By clicking on [Parents] on each of the 11 pages, you will arrive at the first American Eastwood, Richard. On the Eleventh Generation page, when the Eastwoods are "finished", scroll down half a page to #
1741. Mercy Bradford. [Parents], click on [Parents] and proceed to Gov. William Bradford Sr. on Generation 13.   Good Luck!

*Author's Note: I have yet to completely master the fine details and idiosyncrasies of The Personal Ancestry Files program developed by the Mormon Church. This is a wonderful free program that has been invaluable to me in the development of the Eastwood Family Tree and any suspected program shortcomings will, no doubt, prove to be shortcomings of the author, Steve Eastwood. That said, disregard that the PAF program says  all of the mothers of Clint's children were his wives. Clint has only walked that long aisle twice; his first wife of 17 years, Maggie, (Dec. 19, 1953),  and his current wife, Dina (Ruiz) Eastwood, mother of their 10 year old daughter, Morgan.
